I’m Dr. Sally Laila, founder and CEO of LYLA. As a human who gives a whole lotta of f*cks... as a woman who shaves that sh*t… and as a doctor who knows what works… I’m all about advocating for skincare that’s top shelf and gimmick-free.
LYLA took shape because I got tired of the traditional shaving & body care companies touting crappy and skin-irritating products, with zero concern for sustainability and with marketing campaigns that work to shove people into a small, cramped box.

As long as I can remember, the shaving and body care industry confused me.
I wondered:
Why are razors divided in to men's and women's razors...isn't hair hair?
Why are women in shave ads always shaving an already hairless leg? Did they forget that they shaved already?
Why do replacement razor blades cost soooo damn much?
Why are companies always making me feel like I have to be hairless from the eyebrows down in order to feel hot enough?
LYLA started with the intention of changing everything that p*ssed me off about traditional shaving and body brands. At LYLA, we're all about challenging outdated standards of beauty, championing sustainability and saying NO to marketing tactics that make you feel insecure.
And don’t get me started on gender based marketing for products that are not inherently gendered. I believe that the future is inclusive and that being a part of a collective shift requires the courage to do something different.
