four easy ways to start your zero waste journey

We totally get it - the thought of going zero-waste seems, like, impossible.

In a world where it's so hard to not be wasteful, the thought of being zero-waste seems challenging.

We're here to tell you it isn't impossible. In fact, there are superstars out there that can fit their entire years' worth of waste into a single jar. incredible.

Of course, nobody is expecting you to jump to that stage, but we can all take steps to be less wasteful.

Stock up on your reusable items

The first thing you can do is start a reusable collection.

There's SO much out there.

We highly recommend investing in coffee cups, water bottles, straws and shopping bags.

These little products are our absolute life-savers (especially those big reusable shopping bags).

P.S a lot of coffee companies give a sweet little discount on coffee if you have your own cup. Now, if that's not an incentive, we don't know what is.

Hey, we obviously think that you should opt for plastic-free razors. Think about how many of your razors have ended up in a landfill.

Go packageless

Packaging causes a sickening amount of waste. Most of which is plastic, and we all the dangers of plastic.

It seems so hard to avoid packaging. Literally, everything comes wrapped in the thing - eve fruit and vegetables.

There are still ways around this, you just have to do a little research. We promise it's worth it.

So, first things first - farm/local shops probably won't wrap their products in plastic. Beautiful.

Secondly, we're so lucky to live in a time where we can order online. There are tonnes of zero-waste shops popping up - and we're obsessed already.

BTW, you'll have to stock up on glass jars for things like pasta, nuts, and spices.

Reduce

You can make such a huge difference, just from reducing.

We're all guilty of buying something that we really don't need. That new top? Not essential. That package of new candles? You have enough at home, promise.

We can all live with much less than we have. Just slow down, and be a little more mindful.

Your bank account will thank you, too.

Support zero waste companies

Do you know how we mentioned all the zero-waste companies popping up? Yeah, honestly they're out there.

You just need to do a quick google search, and you'll be able to find a sustainable or eco-friendly company.

Look at yours truly for example. We believe that compassion is sexy. That's why we're plastic-free, vegan, cruelty-free, and organic. We also have a refill and recycle program right here in the u.k. We support and encourage your new zero-waste lifestyle.

We're out there, you just need to search and support us.

The planet needs our help, guys. It's up to us now to be responsible and do our bit.

How great is it that we can do our part, in such beautiful ways? Even just from something as simple as a (great) razor.
