Sustainable & Vegan Companies that we're loving right now

At LYLA, there are a few things we love more than ethical body care. Something that comes (very) close are companies that are doing their bit for this world.

So, we thought we'd share some of them with you. After all, we're all sharing this world - we should share the good in it, too.

Goldfinger Factory

Who doesn't love interior design? But how can we live our Pinterest dream, while also benefiting the planet and the people on it?

Shopp at Goldfinger Factory, of course.

This incredible company focuses such a huge part of their mission on sustainability. In short, they save wood that's heading to landfills and use it to create amazing designs.

Also, they use all their off-cuts in creative ways - they've made chopping boards and even jewellery. They're leading the interior world towards a zero-waste future.

They also offer empowering training and work experience - transforming lives as well as the planet. We have nothing but respect.

P.S their products scream "Instagrammable". Obsessed.

Etiko

It's unusual that you here vegan and fashion in the same sentence. Unfortunately, it's a rarity - so when we find a vegan fashion company, we're basically instantly obsessed.

Make no mistake, there are amazing vegan products out there. However, they usually follow that hippy-wear type of trend.

Etiko has created really chic items, that we can totally imagine us all wearing in the real world.

As an example - there are neat converse style trainers and versatile cotton tees.

What we love the most about Etiko - the effort they put into making their products and entire company as ethical as possible.

Beyond Meat

If you're trying to tackle climate change, you'll probably already know this - the meat industry is one of the biggest contributors to the environmental crisis.

Beyond Meat has made cutting down (or completely cutting out) meat super easy. They truly deserve a medal.

Their plant-based products are so similar to their meat counterparts, you can't even taste a difference.

For real, it's some of the nicest food we've ever munched down on.

Beyond Meat have given the people what they want, but made it entirely vegan and ethical. What more do we need?

Amcor

Amcor is a global packaging company.

Now, before we dive into why we love Amcor, right now - let's look at the issue of packaging.

Think of all the packaging in the world right now. It's literally everywhere. The majority of it will be plastic, too. Plastic packaging is so wasteful and usually ends up in landfills or in our precious ecosystem.

Amcor is the first global packaging company to promise that all its packaging will either be recyclable or reusable by 2025. This is a big promise.

They also work with the World Food Programme to develop how food is delivered, especially to those who need it the most.

Ant Financial

Ant Financial has been so innovative with their mission to improve the environment.

As a tech company, they obviously had to curate something futuristic. So, they came up with the Ant Forest app.

This handy little app works on a reward system - by planting virtual trees when they practice earth-friendly habits.

For every 17.9kg of carbon that is saved, Ant Financial plants a real tree.

It's a win-win situation.

Tonle

Yes, another fashion brand - this time, it's a zero-waste brand.

Fashion and zero waste are often thought of as mutually exclusive concepts. Tonle has eradicated that myth, setting a new standard for many fashion brands.

Fast fashion is one of the leading contributors to waste. In fact, shoes and clothing occupy around 5% of all landfill space (which is much more than it sounds).

Environmentally, producing fashion is also detrimental. To create one t-shirt uses around 2,700 litres of water.

Tonle scraps all waste, right from the beginning of the process. They use trash waste from clothing manufacturers and every last part of their clothes is handmade.

Their production avoids unnecessary water usage, CO2 emissions, and any harmful chemicals escaping into the ecosystem.

Miyoko

Vegan cheese didn't have a great reputation. That was until the like of Miyoko came along.

This cheese has become a favourite in the vegan community and is now beginning to spread around to everybody. People really cannot believe it's not dairy.

While the company spends a lot of time on their artistry and taste, they also put tonnes of effort into their ethics and integrity.

With no fillers, GMOs, and additives - you actually feel great after eating this delicious "cheese".

We love vegan products that are loved by everybody - it helps push the message further. Nobody can complain.

Numi Tea

We're obsessed with tea here at Lyla. This obsession got even heavier when we found out about Numi Tea.

They're organic, fair trade, and sustainable, and their tea is just delicious.

It truly is some of the purest, tastiest tea that we've ever tasted - and it feels good knowing just how ethical the company is. It even makes the tea taste that little bit sweeter.

Numi Tea also has its own foundation, which provides various resources to vulnerable communities.

Vegan Business Media

Last, but definitely not least, we have Vegan Business Media.

This list wouldn't be complete without this incredible vegan company.

If you're considering opening up your own vegan company, Vegan Business Media has tonnes of blogs, videos, and online training. We completely adore how this company focuses its time on helping to create more ethical companies.

It's a selfless, wonderful idea, that has been met with so much success. Who knows, with the help from Vegan Business Media, you might just make it onto a list just like this in the future.

Check out all these amazing companies, and see how they're changing the world.

If there's anything to learn - we can make such a big difference. Shopping and supporting companies like the ones listed above will help change the world.
